27A – Reading Reflection No. 3

I have decided to choose the book How to fail at almost everything and still win by Scott Adams from the reading list. *What was the general theme or argument of the book? The book basically said that having only one goal is for loser people. The only way to be successful is to have multiple projects/goals. You have to try all your projects until one of it is achieved. That is what really matters. *How did the book in your opinion, connected with an enhance what you are learning in ENT3003? The book has definitely made me consider being a little more selfish about some stuff I did not know. I have to take care of my self and chase all the goals i want. *If you had to design an exercise for this class, based on the book you read, what would that exercise involve? An exercise that involves students setting at least 10 goals, and at the end of the week students have to come up with how they will chase those goals, strategies etc. *What was your biggest surprise or '...

28A – Your Exit Strategy

1) The exit strategy i plan to make for my business is simple. Since I know for a fact that applications always develop and most of the times a new business or business idea can take over another app, the market is very competitive. If my application is doing as well as i am thinking it will go, i plan to start selling my equity stake. I plan to sell up to 49 percent of my business in 5 years. This business will not be the only business i will have, so I do not mind having this for the decades or not. If the opportunity to sell the business is there, I will take all the knowledge to make the best decision. 2) I have selected this strategy because having applications as a business is very competitive. Apps develop all the time, that is why if in 5 years my application is as good as i wanted to, i will start selling %. 3) I really do not think that my exit strategy has influenced in the decisions I've made in my concepts. It didn't influence on how I have identified the oppor...

26A – Celebrating Failure

1) After taking time to think about a failure in the past semester, I came up with waking up early to go to the gym. As much as I wanted to go the gym in the morning around 8am, so that way i have the whole day free was impossible. Even thought i set up alarms 7:30am, i ended up turning them off. I tried to do that many times during the semester. After trying many times, one day I ended up waking up with energy and went to the gym at the hour I wanted to. From that day, I have had a routine of waking up early and accomplish all my tasks during the early day so I can have free time.  2) I learned that in life if you try something that you are willing to put your effort in, you will succeed, doesn't matter if you fail 100 times, what it does matter is standing up 200 times. 3) What i think of failure is an opportunity. I always thought that the biggest tutor in life is life. Failing is just a lesson that life is giving us and that we have to start learning from our failures. I...

24A – Venture Concept No. 1

Opportunity: Many people struggle with the fact that they do not know what application they need to download in order to get the unmet need. Having to ask around to see what application is the best one to get services is a real hassle. Many college students have to download many applications in order to get services, but the idea of only having one is phenomenal. Having one application that has the ability to meet a lot of services. As well as creating features that people need such as addressing the whole college bars deals with linking the application with big services such as car services, book rentals, cleaning service etc. My potential customers will people that use the cell phone regularly to get services done, and also to look for deals/coupons etc. Nobody thinks that having one application that meets a lot of demands is possible because nobody has done something similar before that is why my business idea is innovating the technology market. This is a big opportunity...

25A – What’s Next?

Existing Market: 1) I have a lot of ideas and strategies on how to get my application to succeed. First of all, i would need to contact big companies that would like to be part of the app as a marketing feature. For that part, i will have to use my network resource. After getting big companies or big brands in the app, the rest will be marketing the application itself. People would love an application that has many services and needs in just one app. 2) * Matteo, he is 20 years old from the University of Florida. I interviewed Mateo and told him about my business idea and all the goals I have for the business as a whole. He agreed that the next step would be contacting potential brands to join the app idea as a feature. * Jessica, she is 21 years old and she is also a student at the University of Florida. After a good conversation about my business idea with her, she said that the next step would be to start a marketing plan for the app on campus. * Hjalmar, he is 21 years ...

21A – Reading Reflection No. 2

Inbound Marketing by Brian Halligan *What was the general theme or argument of the book? The general theme was that marketing is not always about making people see at your business name. The theme was that outbound marketing is considered past. The new way to apply marketing is inbound because that is the best way to move forward. Finding essential information about a product, increases the chances to buy the product. * How did the book, in your opinion, connect with and enhance what you are learning in ENT 3003? The book definitely was very informative on how to conduct marketing in a business. I have learned that inbound marketing is better, and also that i have to stay away from outbound marketing. It definitely changed my idea on what i think of marketing and gave me a lot of knowledge in my entrepreneurial learning experience. * If you had to design an exercise for this class, based on the book you read, what would the exercise involve? The exer...

19A – Idea Napkin No. 2

The feedback memo: According to my classmate's feedback, I ended up having more compliments than constructive criticism for my assignment napkin No.1 Because of this I did not make changes in my assignment regarding what the main idea and all my thoughts on it are. I had to read again my napkin 1 assignment and all the comments to see if I need to change something on it, but nothing was needed to change, so i just reposted my idea number 1. I know that my business idea requires some good research and before I launch my app I need to know for a fact that this will go somewhere. 1)I am an international student from Bolivia, studying at the University of Florida. Majoring in economics and will try to pursue minors in real estate investment and entrepreneurship. I am a very social person and have some really good persuasive skills.
