28A – Your Exit Strategy

1) The exit strategy i plan to make for my business is simple. Since I know for a fact that applications always develop and most of the times a new business or business idea can take over another app, the market is very competitive. If my application is doing as well as i am thinking it will go, i plan to start selling my equity stake. I plan to sell up to 49 percent of my business in 5 years. This business will not be the only business i will have, so I do not mind having this for the decades or not. If the opportunity to sell the business is there, I will take all the knowledge to make the best decision.

2) I have selected this strategy because having applications as a business is very competitive. Apps develop all the time, that is why if in 5 years my application is as good as i wanted to, i will start selling %.

3) I really do not think that my exit strategy has influenced in the decisions I've made in my concepts. It didn't influence on how I have identified the opportunity. It has helped me identify my growth intentions and also how I plan to manage the business in a large scale future as well as, how to use my resources to achieve it.

  1. Sebastian,

Your exit strategy is a good idea. You're thinking big, which is good. In my opinion, every entrepreneur must have the ability to see beyond the horizon. From this post and your previous ones as well, I can tell that you always think about the optimal or maximum outcome. I encourage you to continue to do this, and never set limits on yourself.
