8A - Solving the problem

8A solving the problem

I believe there is a problem in every college complex regarding cleaning. Many college students suffer that their apartment sometimes is a mess, and whether they are super busy studying or doing other activity that they end up leaving the apartment a mess. This leaves college students with a huge problem and with danger of attracting bacteria that can end up with leaving them sick.
I believe there is an easy solution to this cleaning problem in college complexes. Whenever college students are about to sign their lease, there should be also an option that says if you pay $70 more a month you will be getting cleaning service once a week. Also, with this option available the complexes can use an application like Uber that whenever you want, you go into the app and look for apartments in your complex to clean for $25. Therefore, if there are residents that do not like the $70-month option is okay, because they can get their apartment clean whenever they need through the complex application. This would allow college students also to have the opportunity to earn extra cash while they clean an apartment.

  1. This a pretty good idea the only thing that I'd be worried about is privacy and what exactly does cleaning entail. I'm very particular about how my things are arranged but I can definitely relate to being too busy to clean up. Its pretty important to keep your environment clean not only because of microbial implications but mental ones too.

  2. Sebastian,

This sounds very similar to the idea I presented in my elevator pitch. Great minds think alike! I think this is a great idea. There are a lot of people, college students especially, that like a clean place but do not want to clean. This $70 cleaning fee could be the antidote for dirty apartments. I would definitely present this to apartment complexes around town. If they decide to implement your idea, charge them a 5% royalty fee for every transaction processed. Not only is your idea generating revenue for the apartment complex but also you are encouraging regular maintenance within the apartments.
