7A – Testing the Hypothesis, Part 1

7A – Testing the Hypothesis, Part 1

1)    The opportunity that I would like to pursue is my idea of launching a new application that meets with all college student’s demands.
2)    The who: college students
The what: there is not such an application that meets with all college student needs. For example, cleaning service, delivery food, happy hour bar options, books rental etc.
The why: there are many applications that meet different demands, but downloading many apps take space in the cell phone and battery.
3)    Testing the who: the ones that have this need are especially college students. Having to do a research to look for apps is a real hassle for college students. Why not just having one app with all the needs in.
Testing the what: the boundaries of this need are especially comfort and saving time. It is really a challenge for college students that do not know what applications get that must of the time it becomes frustrating.
Testing the why: Not all applications will agree to the idea of only having one app.
4)    For the interviews I asked 6 people if they would like to have an application that meets with all of their demands. For example, food delivery, rental books, cleaning service, car service etc. They all answered the same question which is that they would love to have only one app to meet all of their demands. Having your credit card in the app and just order any service that you want to get from just one application is awesome. They also agree that I would need to contact the food delivery service, car service, cleaning service etc to have them in my app. They all agree that is good to have one application that meets all college kids demands. Why bothering looking for apps if you already have the ONE.

  1. This is such a great all in one app idea that could definitely branch out to ,meet the needs of other populations (parents perhaps?) or this could medical implications as well. I do think an app like this might be hard to maintain. This could stem from the businesses that provide these services the monetary functions of this app and whatever server it would run through as well as how well you could protect sensitive information.
