13A reading reflection N1

1)    I have always admired Steve jobs, but after reading his book I learned a lot about himself, which is very interesting. What surprised me the most in the book is the ability if Steve to face problems, when he saw that android stole his product, he was willing to go to war till the very end. He was willing to spend the $40 billion dollars of Apple's bank account to win this war because he knew he was on his right. I admired Steve jobs commitment to his work and that he was always thinking about launching new products to become the very best. The least I admired from Steve jobs is that he was very open in his work environment, the book states that jobs cried in many situations in front of everybody, and I think that that shows weakness if you are the head of a company, you always have to be the strong or at least pretend.

2)    He faced many competencies with google - android because according to Steve they were trying to always steal his ideas.

3)    The most confusing part for me was the relationship with Bill Gates.

4)    I would ask him many questions, but if only having the chance to get two I will ask him? What is the key to success? Why did other founders back out?

5)    I think that Steve Jobs opinion of hard work was that always be on the top. Always have the ability to create something new and put it in the table. Before releasing a new product, have already the idea and/or the knowledge of how the next product will be.

  1. Sebastian,

I agree with what you mentioned in element 5 about always having your next moved planned. There is a famous motivational speaker named Jim Rohn. One of my favorite quotes by him is: "Before you start your year, plan out your months. Before you start your months, plan out your weeks. Before you plan out your weeks, plan out your days. Before you start your days plan out your hours, and before start your hours, plan out your minutes." I concur with your assumption, that Steve Jobs was someone to abide by a similar discipline of this nature.

  2. I love apple I owned must of the products, and I think they are excellent sources of innovations, convenience, and technology. I discovered, and I loved. What apple iMovie does would cost a lot in an above premier. Also, I think iPhone was an excellent source of innovation for the idea of a device with apple operative system. In other words, Steve Jobs was a genius.
