12A figuring out buyers behavior N1

Segment: the segment I chose was people who regularly use their cell phone to get services such as cleaning, books rental, car services, bar’s happy hour deal etc. I picked this segment because I truly believe that many people like myself, hate downloading many applications and google every single service they want to get. Instead of that hassle, why not just have one application that features many services needed.

Need awareness: After conducting my interviews I have learned many things, that I did not know about this important unmet need. The need of having only one application that can meet many demands is very necessary because saves the struggle of having to google what application people need to get in order to have their need met. For example, one of my interviewees stated, need awareness arises when they see their apartment dirty and do not have any idea of what cleaning services are available. Also, the fact that takes a lot of time to google the specific service, and most of the times, the price and phone numbers are hard to find. The first thing they would do is to google the specific service, and see if the internet has many options available for them, which in most of the cases there is not, they would ask for help to family members and/or friends.

Information search: my interviewees stated that when they realize they need a solution, they look up on the internet for the services they are looking for. Most of the times the internet does not give them the solutions, so they start asking around their friends and family.


Conclusion: the segment related to people that regularly use their cell phone to get services gave similar answers. They become aware of their need whenever they need to get a specific service, and do not know where to get it from. The idea of having one application that features many services drove my interviewees really interested. I found out that people with this need use the internet to look up for services and most of the times ask family and friends. The questions are very similar when they are looking the service on the internet, and also when asking friends/family.

    From the tone of your post, it sounds like you have been enthusiastic about gathering data for further research for your business concept. For you to collect data not only gives you constructive criticism but this also helps build a potential client base as well. There is a famous quote by the world renowned investor Warren Buffett: "The more you learn, the more you earn." So in theory, the more you continue to learn about your business, the chances of it being profitable increase.

I find it crazy how much your idea resonates with me because i don't really think about how much time i spend just googling and comparing services the ease of having one app that can provide me with a trustworthy and effective business to fulfill my need isn't something that I've contemplated. This especially true if I can't find the service by word of mouth because its an uncommon need in my circle.

  3. I love the idea nowadays you need an application for everything, why not create an app that would do multiple operations and services than a specific application. I think it will take time, but it is a good business to a resource about technology and innovation. I think it will make programming skills and functional web design.
