Your Entrepreneurship Story.
Entrepreneurship for me has always been a priority. I am committed to meet the demands of a business world since I am a problem solver. Back in high school in my home country, Bolivia, I was always the one making the ideas to go into trips, school activities etc. When I was about 10 years old, I told my friends to do a small business with all my neighbors, and the business was to go and wash their cars for $10. Since we were 10 years old, every neighbor was pleased about the idea, but the funny fact was that since I gave the idea I was the one just telling my friends where to go, and still get the same percentage of profit. Back then, I had no idea of what I was doing or so, but now I realized that I was a small entrepreneur. I had many entrepreneur experiences throughout my life, but that definitely is one that I will remember since I was just 10 years old. I come from an entrepreneur family, my mom is a lawyer but she also has many businesses in Bolivia. My grandmother is one of my role models as well, she is also a lawyer and also was a supreme court judge. Now, she is a real estate developer in Bolivia and also has many businesses throughout the country. For example, she opened a bowling, ice skating rink, cinema, apartments, offices etc.
I can say that I have the pleasure to have my uncle as one of the coolest entrepreneurs I have met in my life. He is an entrepreneur in Hong Kong, and his story is something remarkable. After college, he decided to go to Hong Kong to explore new opportunities. At first, he started selling mini freezers from China to Hong Kong because the profit was like 40% in each mini freezer. Then, he decided to create his own business and he created a company that monitors energy. I did a 3 months summer internship in his company last summer. He told me that at first was a real struggle, but with perseverance he managed to get his company in the top. Now, his company has business with gas stations, fast food restaurants, universities, and many other important locations throughout the world. He told me that life is all about achievements and you have to make the most of it. He taught me of never fear of failing because failing is the best lesson that life can give you because you will know how to come back more experienced. I enrolled ENT3003 because I find entrepreneurship really exciting, and I want to get the most out of it. I want to make my own legacy and entrepreneurship is a key to get there. I will be an entrepreneur and I want to learn as much as possible about it. I would like to know how the entrepreneur starts a business, deal with the competition, and manage to go to the top.

  1. I shared some story with you, we are both from the land of Bolivar in my case at North Colombia and it is true when we are kids we imagine ways to do business, I remember I did my business at school with school trips to Universities, so I benefit the students with education and I make extra cash per student.

  2. Hong Kong seems like an amazing place to be on a summer internship but also to see how a business can be built from the ground up. As someone who is hoping to have his own business it was amazing to read how your family is insulating yourselves within a bubble of entrepreneurial society.
