20 Bug List

1-    During the day, having to charge your phone, laptop, and any other electronic device.
Why the bug exists? Because electronic devices can only handle a specific amount of energy.
2-    On a daily basis, having to turn off or turn on the lights in your room.
Why the bug exists? Because college complexes in Gainesville, do not have high technology to set up specific technology timer to turn on/turn off the lights.
3-    Having ATM fees at the moment of money withdrawal.
Why the bug exists? Because all the banks in America only give you ATM money withdrawal free if the ATM belongs to your bank, otherwise there is a transaction fee.
4-    During rush hour, 13:00-16:00pm, Reitz Union bus (20) is in its full capacity that it is impossible to sit.
Why the bug exists? Because normally students at the University of Florida go to eat or to their home everywhere between 13:00 – 16:00pm.
5-    During 15:00-19:00pm SWGYM is so full that students have to wait 20 minutes to use a single machine.
Why the bug exists? Because students tend to work out before night, so they are able to finish assignments and/or do social activities.
6-    During the month of May, Gainesville’s rain is something that drives people crazy.
Why the bug exists? Because during the month of May, Gainesville is under a tropical storm, so raining is one of the symptoms.
7-    During rush hour, the amount of traffic in Miami is so big, that it is almost impossible to arrive home the hour expected.
Why the bug exists? Because Miami is an overpopulated city with 453,579 population, so the traffic gets unreal during rush hour.
8-    After going to a supermarket and buying raw food, having to put the raw food in the fridge immediately.
Why the bug exists? Because most of the raw food get bacteria if it is not in a cold temperature.
9-    Having to fuel gasoline to your car every 4 days.
Why the bug exists? Because most of the cars in Gainesville are not electronic cars, so gasoline is the main reason that makes a car run.
10- After a bad night of sleep, you look at yourself and most of the times there are eye bags/black eyes on your face.
Why the bug exists? Because lack of sleep tends to cause blood vessels under the thin skin of the eyes to dilate, creating a dark tint.

11- After every certain time, having to replace a watch’s battery.
Why the bug exists?  Because some watches work with a battery and are not yet settled with the mechanical/automatic function.
12-  Having coins in your pocket after making a transaction in cash.
Why the bug exists? Because most people think that having change in coins is always a good idea in order to pay the exact amount of money.
13-  On a daily basis, having slow internet in my student complex.
Why the bug exists? Because the number of students is larger than the amount of internet provided.
14- The several number of mosquitos during the summer.
Why the bug exists? Because since summer is very hot in Gainesville, the humidity goes up as well as the number of mosquitos.
15- Most of the nights, having the trouble of sleeping that is called insomnia.
Why the bug exists? Researchers and scientists found that stress is related to sleep disorder (insomnia).
16-  On a daily basis, having to cook your own meal.
Why the bug exists? Because is healthier cooking at home, than going to a restaurant in Gainesville.
17-  When ordering online, having to pay the shipping fee.
Why the bug exists? Because companies are only willing to take the shipping fee out if the order is up to $100 for example.
18-  The thought that there are plenty of terminal diseases out in the world.
Why the bug exists? Because every human body has the ability to get bacterias that can be terminal.
19-  After a night out with your friends, drinking margarita’s cocktail hangover arrives.
Why the bug exists? Because alcohol causes dehydration to the human’s body, so the day after a long night your body has to pay the prices.
20-  On a daily basis, doing laundry to wash your clothes.

Why the bug exists?  Because if clothes remain dirty, people would be exposed to a bacterial infection.

Reflection: I did find the 20 bugs difficult and super challenging. Because most of the time people do not see the real problems because we are just used to it. After doing this assignment, I realized that I have to be more opened to find problems and recognize them.

    Hi Sebastian!

    I found a lot of your bugs insightful and intriguing, as well as broad enough to where a great many people would share the frustrations you have. I found your 8th bug, the one regarding having to immediately refrigerate your food upon leaving the grocery store, particularly resonant and profound, as I find the instance incredibly inconvenient as well. I also wrote something about mosquitos for one of my bugs, so seeing that on your list too is quite funny. I, like you, was also challenged by this assignments and the similar takeaway of looking at my peeves in a new light. Great job!

25A – What’s Next?

Existing Market: 1) I have a lot of ideas and strategies on how to get my application to succeed. First of all, i would need to contact big companies that would like to be part of the app as a marketing feature. For that part, i will have to use my network resource. After getting big companies or big brands in the app, the rest will be marketing the application itself. People would love an application that has many services and needs in just one app. 2) * Matteo, he is 20 years old from the University of Florida. I interviewed Mateo and told him about my business idea and all the goals I have for the business as a whole.
