26A – Celebrating Failure

1) After taking time to think about a failure in the past semester, I came up with waking up early to go to the gym. As much as I wanted to go the gym in the morning around 8am, so that way i have the whole day free was impossible. Even thought i set up alarms 7:30am, i ended up turning them off. I tried to do that many times during the semester. After trying many times, one day I ended up waking up with energy and went to the gym at the hour I wanted to. From that day, I have had a routine of waking up early and accomplish all my tasks during the early day so I can have free time.

2) I learned that in life if you try something that you are willing to put your effort in, you will succeed, doesn't matter if you fail 100 times, what it does matter is standing up 200 times.

3) What i think of failure is an opportunity. I always thought that the biggest tutor in life is life. Failing is just a lesson that life is giving us and that we have to start learning from our failures. I've never had a failure in my life that was needed to put emotions. I am not scared of failing at all. This class has definitely taught me how to see failure as an opportunity and definitely, after taking this class, Ie am more likely to take risks. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

  1. Sebastian,

I can completely empathize with your struggles of getting up early and going to the gym. I struggle with this myself. Now I just work out at night but getting up early is still a struggle. The only way I do it is if I have to be somewhere. I still do not get up early to go to the gym but I applaud you for doing so.
